Minutes 8/11/07

 

Meeting called to order.

Members in attendance: 15

 

Discussions:

 

  1. A motion was made and passed to actively pursue 40 members for the 2007-2008 hunting season. We currently have 33 paid or partially paid.
  2. Dues need to be paid. If you have not paid your dues please do as soon as possible. We will be placing an ad in the local paper fill all open memberships. If a member is having trouble paying their dues and would still like to hunt this season, they need to contact Jim Murphy as soon as possible. 
  3. We have contacted the paper company about the repairs needed to McWilliams Spar Gate and Donaldson gates. The paper company will fix both gates before the beginning of the season.
  4. Timber companies are currently logging the adjoining land and have committed to repairing the roads before the upcoming deer season.
  5. Land lease went up .65 per acre for the Whipple leased portion of the club. The increase will not affect club dues this year.
  6. Electricity is place on hold due the cost and the security of the meters and boxes.
  7. Stands were not drawn due to low member attendance and the officers want to give members the opportunity to pay their dues if they have not yet done so.
  8. Family day is coming up on October 20th. The festivities will begin around 12:00 noon. This years’ menu includes: Bar-b-que pork and chicken, baked beans, coleslaw and tea. Please feel free to bring a dessert. Fun is guaranteed so make plans to attend with your family. (It is not required that you to attend, but it is a lot of fun)
  9. Updated copies of the club rules (common law / condensed version) will be available by the September 22nd meeting. If you are unable to attend the meeting, please let us know so that a copy can be mailed or emailed to you. A copy of it will be posted in the check station and copies will be available upon request.
  10. No workdays are scheduled at this time.
  11. The next Club meeting will be Sept. 22nd at 2:00 p.m. Please make plans to attend. Remember if you cannot attend to call one of the officers and find out what will be on the agenda. And don’t forget to send your proxy with a club member. (Reminder that there is a $25.00 penalty for not showing up and participating in at least one meeting per year.)
  12. Doug Emmons has agreed to take the Game Officers position.
