Discussion Topics:

Work days; The President wants it brought to all members’ attention that work days are required as part of the membership see below. These work days will be directed to improving club security and integrity for all members. Not intended for personal hunting area maintenance. Each member can be fined if they choose not to participate, some areas which are in need of immediate attention; posted painting along perimeter roads and the gas line, areas around gates need to be restricted by whatever means legally possible to keep Non-Members OUT. These work days are mandatory for all able bodied members, there is a sign off sheet in the check station that member should sign on completing the work day.

          Club Participation Policies

2.       Work Days – Each (able body) member is required to be present for one full weekend or two days of workdays. A sign-in sheet is posted on the bulletin board in the camping area. On these days, the members work should be focused on work for the lease and not the members personal food plots and stands.

WE are still pursuing designated handicap hunting areas. These areas are voluntary projects and will not be financed by VCHC money. If you are interested in helping with this project please contact Jim Murphy.  To date there is no other handicap accessible hunting clubs in the state of Arkansas. AGFC thinks that this is a wonderful idea not only for the club but for disabled persons living in the state.

2008-2009 Deer Harvest Rules:

After much discussion with AGFC we have decided to modify club rules for THIS season. The doe rule is for Paying Members only. Any member taking 2 does over 90 lbs will be eligible for bonus tags. This was voted on and the vote was unanimously for the following rules:

·         There will be selected weekends when the 90 lb. Rule will not be enforced; this is not to say it is not encouraged.

·         The weekends are as follows:

o   Muzzle loading season, October 18th and October 19th 2008

o   Youth Hunt, November 1st and November 2nd 2008

o   November 8th and November 9th 2008

o   November 29th and November 30th 2008

ALL DATA INCLUDING JAW BONE EXTRACTION, WEIGHT, AND LACTATION IS RECORDED. 90 lb rule will not be enforced on the above dates but it is HIGHLY encouraged. Fines will be strictly enforced at all other times. NO EXCEPTIONS!

·         To help our buck population we will be implementing a 6 point rule for the entire 2008 - 2009 season

·         Anyone shooting an illegal buck (smaller than 6 points) will be fined $ 50.00 on the spot NO EXCEPTION!

VCHC has purchased four 55 gallon drums of peanut butter. Each member will be allotted 5 gallons to use in their hunting area.

Membership dues need to be paid immediately. We are actively seeking new members to fill the slot of the dues not paid so if you would like to keep your membership and have not paid your dues, you need to contact an officer right away. If you do not contact anyone, it will be assumed that you no longer wish to be a member and your membership will be sold.

The Club is currently in need of an additional $ 7000.00 to meet operating expenses.

Our Game Manager is requesting trail cam photos be emailed to him your name will be kept anonymous Click here to email him.
